No Fault Evictions
The Government are consulting on new legislation to abolish section 21 evictions,often known as No Fault Evictions. This would mean landlords could no longer evict tenants from their properties at short notice with out good reason. Government parking review
The findings of a Government inquiry could ban parking vehicles on the pavement in England. The Transport Select Committee are considering pavement parking and how it forces pedestrians onto the road when their path is blocked by cars. Mothers forced to take their child in a pram and another toddler whose hand she is holding is a sight we have all seen. Wheelchair users, the elderly or infirm.

Nottingham gets a third CCTV car
Nottinghamshire County Council are to buy a 3rd CCTV car to patrol Nottingham roads.

The extra car will be patrolling schools with problems of parents illegally parking on keep clear areas. The CCTV cars enables the council to cover more schools at one time. The picture evidence will allow councils to hand out £70 fines and hopefully put children at less risk travelling to and from schools.

New App For Car Wash Sites
A new app developed by the Church of England and the Catholic Church has received thousands of entries from members of the public reporting what they suspect to be illegal activities at their local hand car wash. Let's face we all know this anyway. Cars washed ridiculously cheap by several people at once. Land rent,business rates , materials, water rates, wages, it all adds up to a lot. Wilford Lane Petition
Members of local action groups have been making their concerns known regarding the increasing traffic on Wilford Road in Nottingham. A petition to ban HGVs from Wilford Lane has now been started. HGVs obviously only make up a small percentage of the traffic on our roads, the biggest number and most contributing to traffic volumes and pollution are cars. Upgrade of the A614
Nottinghamshire County Council have been allocated £18 million pounds from the Department of transport for improvements to the A614.

Plans include improved junctions, new housing developments along the route, improve road safety and congestion.It is also planned to change the junction with the A6097 by putting a traffic island in place in the hope of reducing accidents there.
Public consultations will take place this year with the hope being work will commence in 2021. -
