Newstead Abbey Restoration
Over £300,000 will be spent on repair and maintenance work on the Cannon Fort and West Front of Newstead Abbey.

Tram makeover

Nottingham's existing fleet of trams are to be given a re-fit costing £3.5 million. The face lift will give the older trams the same appearance as the newer Citadis models. The trams will also benefit from a major mechanical overhaul guaranteeing long service still.
Inside the trams will also benefit from new interior fittings and flooring. The work will be carried out one tram at a time to ensure no disruption to service.
