Can anyone park on your driveway?
While the Highway Code warns drivers not to 'park in front of an entrance to a property,' this refers to allowing access to their home and does not prohibit them from leaving their car on your driveway. There is no criminal law against their car being left on your private property without your consent as it is an act of trespassing, which is classed as a civil offence.... May 2018

Geling Country Park to have dog zones
I myself walk our dog on Gedling Country Park which is a great place to do so. But I regularly see dogs not under control and owners not picking up after them. Now GBC have decided to take action.

The 240 acre country park will have three zones; red, yellow and green. The red zones will be where dogs are not allowed to enter, the yellow zones will ask owners to keep dogs on leads and the green areas are where dogs can be let off leads but must be kept under control.

Times up for single use plastic
We are all much more aware of the pollution caused by plastic,most of which is beyond Europe and perhaps largely beyond our control. But now the European Union plans to put a blanket ban on many single-use plastics across Europe.

It will mean destructive items such as plastic forks, straws and cotton buds could be outlawed in EU countries.

Lady Bay is hosting a beer festival in partnership with SIBA during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
