Super Council Proposed
The Leaders of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire have agreed to explore a Strategic Alliance that would create a unified voice for the region. Labour group Alan Rhodes says the idea of a ‘super council’ is ‘simply ridiculous.’

Frame work knitters Ruddington
The Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington is hosting a wartime extravaganza on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May. Called ‘Swing Back to the 1940s’, the event will turn back the clock to the Second World War, with staff and volunteers decked out in best 1940s regalia.
