Rushcliffe Council Not Hitting Housing Targets
We all know enough houses are not being built and often the blame lands with builders. But now it seems some councils are not providing the land for building homes as they are required to by law.

M1 Closures at Nottingham today
The M1 is closed in both directions between Junction 23A and Junction 24 allow for a new bridge to be installed. The motorway is close to southbound traffic from 10pm on Friday 11 May and from midnight on the same day to northbound traffic.

Northbound traffic is being rerouted off the M1 at Junction 23A along the A453/A50 re-joining the M1 at junction 24. Southbound traffic will follow this route in reverse. -
Nottingham car park to close
Nottingham City Council have announced that Broadmarsh East Car Park will close on Friday 18 May, to enable the site to be prepared for handover to Nottingham College in early June.

Nottingham College will construct a £58m building, which will host around 2,000 students a year and will include a café, training restaurant, performance theatre, business hub and green space. Construction of the new City Hub will take around two years, with the doors opening in September 2020.
