Birds sold 182,000 Easter treats
Birds the bakers sold an impressive 182,000 hot cross buns and other Easter treats during the festive period. Over 120,000 hot cross buns were sold alone from their 60 plus shops in the East Midlands.

Old School could get new life
The derelict and long vacant Radford Boulevard school could soon be yet more student accommodation in Nottingham. Plans have been submitted to planning authorities for 3 buildings holding a total of 158 student rooms on the site. The original 19th century façade would remain.

Free Covid home Tests now available
Twice-weekly rapid Covid tests to be offered to all adults with no symptoms.

For those over 18-years old, two boxes of seven tests per person are available to collect or four boxes per family.
Depending on peoples’ individual circumstances, the following routes to get a free, rapid Covid test when they don’t have symptoms (asymptomatic) are:
• Community testing: There are now six community testing sites in Nottingham where anyone over the age of 16 can take a supervised test.
