Covid update: Nottinghamshire vaccinates 65,000 in a week – a new record but supplies are short and eligible cohorts urged to get their jab
Amanda Sullivan representing Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG updated and answered question from the media at a briefing today.
Amanda said:
‘The vaccination programme is going really well locally – 471,352 have been carried out vaccinations carried out – 65,000 in one week which is a new record.
‘Vaccine supply issues are expected from 29 March and the cohorts eligible are urged to get theirs done.
‘We are focusing on over-50 or clinically vulnerable or a carer – urged to take up vaccine – also keep appointment for your second vaccine too.’
A number of appointments are still available. If you are eligible, you can book your Covid-19 vaccination appointment by visiting the local booking link or call the local booking line on 0115 883 4640 between 8am – 8pm during weekdays and 9am – 5pm on weekends.
Over 50s can also call the National Booking Service on 119 or use the national booking link to book an appointment at the large-scale Mansfield Vaccination Centre or their nearest pharmacy-led site.
