Plans for Cattle Market revealed
Nottingham City Council have big plans in mind for the land currently occupied by the dilapidated partly burnt down and well under used Cattle Market. Including a new Tram Line which will terminate in Gedling.
All this is part of the "waterside plans" including offices, bars, restaurants and new neighbourhoods to include house and apartment living as well as a new school. A possible new footbridge to Lady Bay has been proposed (when in reality a new road bridge is required, but Nottingham has a very anti car council who are unlikely to be removed by the electorate so therefore have free rein to do as they please).
There will no doubt be resistance from local business especially on The Cattle Market Site. But New homes are needed and Nottingham City council have been very woeful at building them for many years. Time to get building.
