New Great War Memorial in Nottingham
£35,000 has been raised by the Nottingham public towards the cost of a new great War memorial. The remaining cost of a total of almost £400,000 is being met by the county and city councils.
The new memorial will be built on the Victoria Embankment in Nottingham and will have all the names of every casualty from Nottingham including nurses and civilians who were killed by Zeppelin raids or factory accidents during the Great War.
