Council reveal 10 year plan
Nottingham City Council have produced a document setting out its plans for the city over the next 10 years. Called The Land and Planning Document part 2 it will help developers and investors identify sites and the councils intended use for them. Planning officers will also use the document when making decisions on planning applications. The document will outline the kind of development the council wishes to see in different locations, such as office, storage and house building. The council will encourage more affordable housing to be built in new developments as well as more mixed housing to meet the different needs of Nottingham's residents. Guidance on sustainable low environmental impact housing will also be included.
Transport links are also touched on including new plans for a tram to Gedling. As well as new schools and health centres as are required by new neighbourhoods.
