Are your tyres more than 10 years old?
The Government is considering legislation to make it illegal for buses, coaches and lorries to use tyres more than 10 years old. The Government has been considering whether the age of a tyre effects road worthiness. Guidance at present says tyres older than 10 years should not be used on front axles of vehicles as this would make controlling a vehicle of any size difficult during a blow out.
You will find the age of your tyre (4 digits by themselves) on the side wall along with other information. For example.

Our own removals in Nottingham vehicles are low mileage by lorry standards as most people only move within the same area. We change our vehicles tyres often through age and other factors long before tread has made it necessary.
